Right now Poland can make all sorts of demands of the US and NATO. NATO needs Poland's cooperation with the Ballistic Missile Defence Shield, which is said to be against rogue states ostensibly Iran, which has been named..... Are Russia and China rogue states now? The encirclement of Russia and China due to their nuclear arsenals is an interesting concept with the Ballistic Missile Defence Shield a Nuclear First-Strike enabler. The problem with having a First-Strike advantage is that you have to take it when it presents itself otherwise in future if you lose your advantage and the other side gains the advantage the opposition may instead be forced to take the opportunity. So when the status-quo changes and one side has first-strike ability that is a dangerous period for us all.

Spetsnaz - Part 2

My most popular post of recent months has been Spetsnaz.

This is very interesting to many. Why is such a quiet little topic so popular and searched for - right now? Who is interested in this topic?

I posted it with no discussion but it was in relation to this military force potentially being invited to take positions in other western nations because ...so the story goes...they look european, speak fluently in whichever nation they are asked to be stationed, (the story says they are or are to be stationed in some very surprising big western nations) and would not have the same qualms about carrying out unsavoury orders against civilians like a domestic military may....are others digging into this topic as well....Some are floating this as a real story and as facts - I'm not sure but I have followed this theme for several years and it makes sense militarily, to some anyway. See what you can find out for yourself...

‘Hitler’ Hashimoto Comes to Japan Fed Up With Status Quo By William Pesek May 30, 2012 (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-05-29/-hitler-hashimoto-comes-to-japan-fed-up-with-status-quo.html)

‘Hitler’ Hashimoto Comes to Japan Fed Up With Status Quo By William Pesek May 30, 2012 (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-05-29/-hitler-hashimoto-comes-to-japan-fed-up-with-status-quo.html)

From the article: "Frankly, I find some of Hashimoto’s platform borderline creepy. His party’s training program for aspiring leaders, the Restoration Politics Institute, smacks of nationalism. His inquisition against teachers who refuse to stand and sing when the national anthem is played -- some worry it celebrates Japan’s militaristic past -- is right-wing silliness. Giving the third degree to city workers with tattoos is just weird."

Hmmm, "Smacks of Nationalism"............really. Tell me, what is wrong with Nationalism. Being proud of your country, your own country. Being Patriotic. Protecting Your Country and its People. There is and has been for a long time a push against Countries, or in other words, Nations, or in other words Sovereign Nation States. Many would have you believe Nations are out of date - a legacy of a bygone era with no place in the current new world. They say we should all live happily IN HARMONY - keep watch for that word, it is a favourite - They say Nation States are a disease, they are dangerous in a nuclear-armed world - they want NO BORDERS AT ALL - complete freedom of movement of people, all over the world. Maybe this is where the world is naturally heading - ok I accept that as we all communicate globally - but let's not rush it - it needs to happen slowly - if at all - in the mean time be proud of your country - yes it is still your country for now at least - be a proud Patriot - hmmm, would that be a Nationalist.... or is that a dirty word these days as many words have become for fear of offending some faceless mass (or is it actually a scary faceless minority).
